Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to conduct the Noise, Vibration and function testing of the xEV DU and Motor units on the test dyno (including mounting, instrumentation, testing and dismounting). This associate is responsible for coordinating the identification and retrieval of xEV units from mass production for sample testing as well as units to be tested during new model trial events. Upon test completion, this associate will make initial judgment of acceptable or unacceptable results and escalate the findings to their supervisor/management and support containment and sorting operations to protect the customer. Parts swapping and recreation testing may be required and expected to determine the suspect NG parts.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

· High School Diploma or GED

· Minimum of 4 - 6 years hands on shop work

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

· 2-year College Technical Degree or ASE certification

· Experience with Noise and Vibration testing

· Technical troubleshooting skills

· Experience with Siemens LMS

Software Qualifications:

· Basic experience required in Windows, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Activities

· Identify and request xEV units from sample testing

· Install and remove xEV units from the test dyno and perform

testing

· Perform preliminary data analysis to determine OK/NG results

· Collaborate with NV Engineer for testing direction and advice

· Perform swap testing analysis on xEV components as needed for

analysis/investigation

· Support teardown and measurement analysis of component parts

and DU assy

· Coordinate with QE’s, DE, PE for recreation testing

Conduct special activities (correlation, himotsuki, etc) as necessary to

maintain and improve quality

Travel for training and support

Other duties assigned

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization including ALL Customer locations daily.

· Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting

· Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

· Full Motor Skills

Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.

· Requires 5% Travel (may be up to 10% during sales start)

· Office and Factory Setting with Noise
